Google Chrome Beta version 78 causes users being unable to sign-in

Summary

The upcoming Beta release of the Google Chrome browser (build 78 released on 9/19/2019) will feature a breaking change in how cookies are handled that will severely impact many open standards based applications and services, including Microsoft cloud services, resulting in users being unable to sign-in to services and user sessions being left active after sign-out.

Impact to customers

Customers are advised to avoid using this Beta version of the Chrome browser while accessing Microsoft services until further update. Microsoft is working to address the situation before these changes are included in the generally available version of Chrome.

    1. Hello Ibrahim,

this post is already a few month old and you should now be having google chrome version 85 at most recent. If you still use a “beta release” of chrome, then you may contact Google support. Pls check the MS article again.
