Well, we were familiar from SharePoint 2010 and MOSS 2007 the bi-monthly “cumulative updates” and some of you probably just wondered when the first “CU” will become ready for SP 2013…
So the good news is: A few days ago, the SharePoint 2013 March PU (public Update) has been published

So here are now the Links you might have awaited already
- Download SharePoint Foundation 2013 March 2013 PU
- Download SharePoint Server 2013 March 2013 PU
- Download Project Server 2013 March 2013 PU
NOTE!
In order to install future updates, the March 2013 PU will be mandatory! So you must install these updates on RTM Farms before you can install subsequent updates in the future!

For servers that include search components, you have to follow specific steps to ensure that you install the PU correctly.

As usual, you need to run the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm after installing the packages.
The SharePoint Server pack contains the Foundation packs, so you basically only need to install one Package.
The project Server Packs are containing both, so if you install this one, no need for the other two to install additionally.

I have SharePoint 2013 Ent RTM installed. Then I have SP1 2880552, PSConfig (cmd) ran after, then Windows Update installed KB2880994, KB2889930, KB2889937, KB2863826, KB2863837, KB2881003, Configuration Wizard ran after that (GUI). Now I am trying to install September CU. I extract the file, execute the uber file, it does some processing and then tells me "The installation of this packaged failed." Why did it fail? The only thing I can think of is that the Prerequiste states the March 12 update needs to be installed. Is this is still true when the SP1 has already been installed? Is there a way for me to find out why I am receiving this message, nothing is displayed in event viewer.
Answer:
Hi, if you have SP1 installed, the march PU is included, so no need to have it additionally. If Sept. CU still does not installs, check if you have the right package (i.e correct language, fresh download most recently pulled, sure that it is the Server pack and not just the foundation?)
Also check if you have any language packs for SharePoint installed. If yes, then these LP packs must be updated to SP1 as well before.
Then check also ULS Logs on verbose mode while trying to install the CU and finally, give it a reboot to make sure, all paused or postponed computing steps are fully applied.
If all that doesn't lead to avail, please open a support ticket for deeper investigations.

I have problems after install language pack, the first window of Central Administration shows an css sprite at the top and after creation of a web application or Site Collections there are some issues in navigation and native controls in the master page…. some people talk about the same problem in their farms but no information or solution to this problem… do you know about that?
